OMG! Hayden Black is LOL

Abagail’s X-Rated Teen Diary chronicles the harrowing existence of a thirteen-year-old girl suffering from 8th grade, her parent’s recent divorce and Bloomberger’s Disease, a genetic condition that’s made Abagail look a lot like Hayden Black.  But at least she has a video diary to keep her sane…

The first installment sets the stage for a series ripe for ridiculousness…in quick bites.

Hayden Black has done everything right: a simple, funny premise, quality video player that’s easily embedded, a destination site with many interactive elements and snack-sized videos.

In an email conversation, Black stressed his plan to “involve viewers in Abigail’s world… encouraging them to post video responses that Abigail will in turn respond to.”  I can’t wait to see how viewers push the concept into a dialogue of utter absurdity.  iChannel (Tilzy), Where are the Joneses (Tilzy) and even LonelyGirl15 (Tilzy) grew through audience participation.  Makes me think…can I create a character that might know Abigail?  Hmmm.

Video responses are managed by Revver’s new WordPress Plugin that allows creators to manage video responses for their posts right from their own pages.  This feature gives Revver a leg up on competition in a market where user interaction is key, and I bet blip.tv will follow suit. 

But what about Goodnight Burbank, Black’s first internet show?  Will it continue at its regular pace?
