I’m starting to fall in love with Current TV‘s SuperNews, animator Josh Faure-Brac‘s appropriation of headlines and hot topic issues into hilarious Flash shorts. When I say “starting,” I mean it. The first episode I saw was Faure-Brac’s recent Perez Hilton parody, which was the funniest online animation I’ve seen lately that wasn’t on SuperDeluxe.
But today marks the complete of SuperNews’ recent two-parter: the presidential primary debates. Last week saw the release of the 2008 Democratic Debate
. Today’s episode added some much needed levity and personality into the 2008 Republican Debate. It starts off with each opponent battling how Reagan, Reaganny, and Reaganner they are, before John McCain answers the first question: “How would you fight the war like Reagan?” Hilarious.
My favorite moment of the episode comes when Mitt Romney is asked, “Mitt Romney, what is that?” To which Romney cuddles his hat-toting monkey a little closer to his heart and says, “This is my choice for Vice President. His name is Bonzo 2 and he hates gay marriage!”
You just have to see it. Which you can, below. Check out more of SuperNews at Current TV.
