Now, it should be said that my interest in this video is highly individualized. I have attempted to make coffee cake, crumb cake, apple crumb cake, and pear compote with a crumby coffee cake topping, but I always fail with consistent disappointment.
So it’s nice to see that some people don’t.
In this week’s episode of cooking vlog Average Betty, our host makes some tasty-looking coffee cake–the simplicity of her recipe brings even more shame to my plight–and makes some good arguments for why more people should eat coffee cake. Here’s a few of my favorites:
“Nobody’s ever died from coffee cake.”
“Nothing says, “Hey, look at me, I’m cool and sexy,” like a big hunk of coffee cake.”
“Not only is it full of calories, but coffee cake is moist and fluffy!”
