First things first. Welcome to the new Tubefilter! It’s been a long-time coming, but hopefully you’ll find it worth the wait.

It’s been our goal since 2007 (that’s when we first started to exhaustively cover and find the best stuff within the online video fray) to help you discover and keep track of all the online video industry initiatives and programming worth knowing. We care about quality online video entertainment, whether that quality online video entertainment comes in the form of shows from major motion picture studios and television networks, branded entertainment from advertising agencies, or stellar original web series from independent content creators and new media studios.

If the programming is good, we’ll help you find it, and fill you in on who’s involved. If the initiatives are newsworthy, we’ll tell you about them. We follow the industry, its content, its creators, its casts, and the countless other individuals who make online video excellence happen.

Now, we’re hopeful you’ll be better able to follow us with on the new Tubefilter.com. We’ve done our best to provide more exposure and real estate for our top news items, as well as provide you with a handful of improved features, which will help you keep abreast of all that’s going on in the incredibly fast-moving world of online video. There’s nothing especially innovative about what we’ve done. At its core, Tubefilter is still the place to go to about online video industry news and reviews, but we’re hoping this new layout and these new features will enhance your experience.

Events – We put on a lot of online video-oriented events at Tubefilter, from our popular Tubefilter Hollywood Meetups to the star-studded Streamy Awards. Now there’s a section for you to see all of what we’re up to and plan accordingly.

Industry Calendar – Speaking of planning accordingly, we know there are a lot of fantastic online video-oriented events that aren’t put on by Tubefilter, but still most definitely worth attending. We’ve created a calendar where you can easily see all the industry conferences, talks, seminars, and gatherings on the horizon. We’ll be updating the calendar constantly and if you know of an event that should be on, be sure to let us know!

Job Board – There’s a lot of activity and cash flowing into the online video industry. With that capital comes a healthy amount of job openings in new media. If you’re looking for a gig or just want to see what opportunities are out there, our Job Board is a great place to start. It’s also at least semi-responsible for at least a few dozen professionals getting paid positions in new media.
