A new web series is using a unique presentation style to create the medium for its comedic squabbles. The show is called My Stepmoms & Me, and it animates the conversation between a doll and all the women who have ever served as his stepmom.

The protagonist-doll of My Stepmoms & Me shares his name with the show’s creator, Lex Singer. In each episode, Lex has a conversation with one of his stepmoms, which in turns reveals some secrets about his own life. These conversations are animated by Ken Siu in a sparse style that matches the show’s dry humor. In the show’s first episode, Lex talks to the woman who was his stepmom when he was a kid; their conversation spans from dog allergies to Bon Jovi, with plenty of jokes in between.

Right now, only a single episode of My Stepmoms & Me is available, but check back on the show’s Vimeo page to see new installments as they arrive. If Lex’s first stepmom is already this wild, I can only imagine how crazy the others will be.
