It’s another installment of the weekly Tubefilter Chart of the Top 50 Most Viewed YouTube Channels Worldwide and a little tyke is still sitting happy at the very top.

Chart Toppers
Ryan ToysReview held onto its #1 spot on the worldwide chart for the ninth week in a row. The YouTube library of videos featuring the four-year-old boy playing with toys new and old dipped 1% in views on the week, but still amassed almost 135.5 million of them. Not too far behind is Calvin Harris. The Scottish DJ and former object of Taylor Swift’s affection jumped up 34% in views to top out at more than 127.2 million views on the week.
Harris’ climb up the charts pushed T-Series down a spot. The self-described largest music label and movie studio in India stayed relatively constant in its weekly view count to end the week with just about 125 million views. Next up is Webs & Tiaras – Toy Monster Compilations. The crazy collection of home movie-y videos showcasing the live-action antics of comic book superheroes and cartoon princesses took a 1% hit in its view count to score almost 119.6 million views in the week.
And rounding out the Top 5 is netd müzik. The Turkish music conglomerate’s YouTube destination attracted over 117.1 million views during the seven day stretch.
Top Gainers
The honor of one of our Top Gainers this week goes to the aforementioned Calvin Harris.
The 32-year-old multi-hyphenate artist from Scotland is having a bit of a moment on YouTube thanks to the ongoing appeal of a recently released smash single and the voyeuristic inclinations of the celebrity-gossip-loving public. Harris’ “This Is What You Came For ft. Rihanna” debuted on the world’s largest video sharing site on June 16, 2016 and has since amassed over 300 million views since. That upload, coupled with the rest of Harris’ music video catalog, has put Harris’ channel in the #5 spot on the worldwide chart for the past several weeks. But what pushed Harris up to the #2 spot is a lot of press surrounding his former amorous companion.
Harris and late-girlfriend Taylor Swift ended their relationship on June 1, 2016 and in the proceeding weeks the former has been in the headlines of celebrity news rags because of the latter’s new relationship with Tom Hiddleston, songwriting abilities, and seemingly perennial feud with Kanye West (and now Kim Kardashian). All that press has apparently piqued the interests of people with an internet connection, as Harris’ YouTube channel witnessed a 34% week-over-week increase in views and more than 127.2 million views on the week while climbing up to the #2 spot on the worldwide chart.
All in all, the top 50 most viewed YouTube channels accounted for 3,425,145,555 views last week. Here’s the distribution of a few of those channels by multi-channel network:
- Vevo: 9 channels in the Top 50, with Calvin Harris the highest-ranked channel of the network at #2.
- Maker Studios: 6 channels in the Top 50, with PewDiePie at #11.
- Studio71: 3 channels in the Top 50, with Webs & Tiaras – Toy Monster Compilations at #4.
- BuzzFeed, WMG, XMediaDigital: 2 channels each in the Top 50, with BuzzFeed’s BuzzFeed Video at #20, WMG’s Fueled By Ramen at #35, and XMediaDigital’s Get Movies at #22.
And here’s the distribution of the this week’s Top 50 YouTube channels by country of origin:
- United States: 23 channels in the Top 50.
- Great Britain, India: 4 channels each in the Top 50.
- Brazil, Canada: 3 channels each in the Top 50.
- Argentina, Russia, Thailand: 2 channels each in the Top 50.
- El Salvador, Ireland, Netherlands, Philippines, Spain, Sweden, Turkey: 1 channel each in the Top 50.
