Machinima continues to make more hires at the executive level. The self-described “many-2-many” YouTube network focusing on gaming and fan culture has hired Marc Verville as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Verville comes to Machinima with financial leadership experience at Warner Bros., a company that invested in Machinima in March 2014 and recently led another $24 million funding round in the network. Machinima’s new CFO will be responsible for growing the company’s business opportunities in all departments, and ensuring the network’s current and future financial success. Verville will report to Machinima’s CEO Chad Gutstein, who joined the network in March 2014 and has since led a large re-branding effort.
“As Machinima enters its next phase of growth, we sought a strategic CFO with a deep understanding of global content and distribution models,” said Gutstein in a release. “Marc brings traditional and digital content and distribution expertise, strategy and business development acumen, and experience scaling media and entertainment companies with a global reach. We are fortunate to have such a seasoned executive on our team.”

Prior to Warner Bros., Verville held senior vice president finance roles at Gemstar-TV Guide International and internet startup company Radical Communication, Inc. The new Machinima executive also worked for 11 years at Disney, the last five of which he was based in London as the CFO for Walt Disney Television International.
Machinima reaches 170 million viewers each month across all its partner channels.
