Billy Eichner Takes David Letterman To The Streets Of New York

In May, David Letterman will host his final episode of The Late Show before handing over CBS’ flagship late night talk show to Stephen Colbert. With less than two months to go until his departure, Letterman needs to figure out what he’ll do next, and that’s where Billy Eichner comes in. The exuberant host of Billy on the Street has taken Letterman to the streets of New York City, where passersby offer their opinions on what Letterman’s next move should be.

In typical Billy on the Street fashion, Eichner gets right in his guests’ faces and demands they offer all of their thoughts about David Letterman. He even receives from props himself from a few interviewees who know his work, though he quickly reminds them that “this is about David Letterman. It’s not about me.”

The last time we heard from Eichner, he was hanging out in a supermarket with First Lady Michelle Obama and Big Bird, where he taught viewers about healthy eating. This time around, he’s a lot less educational and a lot more brash. He’ll be looking to continue his hyperactive act later this year, when Billy on the Street, which previously aired for three TV seasons on the Fuse channel, will arrive on TruTV.
