Description: Clutch, created by Jonathan Robbins, is an action web series from Canada that features a femme fatale vibe. It follows Kylie (Elitsa Bako), a pickpocket who gets tied up with the mob thanks to her boyfriend Matt (Matthew Carvery). Across the eight bloody, sexy episodes of Clutch‘s first season, Kylie cavorts with fellow criminals, prostitutes, and other seedy acquaintances as she plans to steal money from the mob.

In the ten-episode second season, Kylie ends up captured, and the last few episodes focus more on Matt and fellow pickpocket Mike (Jeff Sinasac). In season three, though, Kylie will return, so long as Clutch‘s fans can #SaveKylie on Indiegogo.

Creator Bio: Robbins has stood behind the camera for a number of different short films and serial projects. He also acts, and he has appeared in web series like Out With Dad and Improbabilia, though he does not show up on screen in Clutch.

Best Perk: The $75 package includes a collection of Robbins’ previous short films, including both “the successes and failures,” with notes about what he learned from each one. This package includes Your Ex-Lover Is Deadthe short film that ultimately led to the creation of Clutch.

Why You Should Fund It: Across its first two seasons, Clutch established itself as one of the best action web series–independent or otherwise. In 2013, it earned itself a nomination at the 3rd Streamy Awards, where it went up against some of the most successful action and sci-fi properties on the web.

Since then, we haven’t heard much from Clutch, but it reserves to come back for one more ride. It’s a fast-paced thriller with a sleek visual style that gives its viewers ample reasons to keep watching. For $7,500, Robbins hopes to launch four more episodes, and with this “quality over quantity” approach, he can make season three the best installment of Clutch yet.
