Comscore has released the latest edition of its monthly online video rankings, and while the data-driven analytics company restricts its rankings to US audiences, a few international companies are making moves up the charts. A trio of global companies–QuizGroup, Rightster, and Any.TV–all appeared among the top ten YouTube partner networks in Comscore’s latest list.
This edition of the Comscore rankings cover the month of December 2014. In terms of unique US viewers, Russia-based MCN QuizGroup came in fifth with more than 24.3 million uniques. Rightster, the London-based network that owns fellow MCN Base79, was ninth with close to 20 million uniques. Any.TV, which focuses on gaming content and has a large presence in Asia, took the tenth spot with about 19 million uniques.
While these international companies are making big inroads, the top networks in Comscore’s December rankings are the usual suspects. VEVO led the way with more than 44 million US uniques, with the combined effort of Disney and Maker Studios in second and Fullscreen in third.

All three of those top networks also appeared among Comscore’s ranking of the top ten online video properties. Google remains entrenched in the top spot with more than 163 million uniques in December, while Facebook continues to hold the #2 spot thanks in large part to all the Vines posted by its users.
BrightRoll, which reached 56.3% of the total US population in December, claimed the #1 spot in Comscore’s ranking of video ad properties.
While Comscore recently updated its more general digital media property rankings to include mobile data, these lists still reflect desktop views only. Should Comscore add mobile devices to its online video rankings, we will expect some major shakeups all around.
