You Can Follow The Lives Of Tim And Eric In ‘Go Pro Show’…Sort Of

Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim have a TV show, a movie, and a series of popular Old Spice ads to their credit; now, they can claim a web series among their collective oeuvre. After JASH co-founder Reggie Watts released the channel’s first non-introductory video last week, Tim and Eric are following suit by giving us the first episode of Tim and Eric’s Go Pro Show, which purports to follow their lives as they go about their daily business.

The show equips its wacky co-stars with top-of-the-line GoPro cameras, thus allowing viewers to see life through the eyes of Tim and Eric. Much to the chagrin of the show’s beleaguered producer, the two stars refuse to simply go about their business as normal and instead act keenly aware of the cameras attached to their heads. There’s also a healthy dose of reality show parody, as the duo occasionally uses a slowed-down, black and white style to mock series that unnecessarily pipes in artificial drama.

Go Pro Show will run for six episodes, the first of which has been released on Tim and Eric’s JASH sub-channel.

We’ve still yet to see much from JASH’s other two stars, Sarah Silverman and Michael Cera, but I’m glad to see Tim and Eric finally make their debut. I was beginning to think JASH would just be a home for trailers and one crude Reggie Watts music video. Instead, the Go Pro Show brings two of TV’s cult heroes to the online screen, where I expect they’ll be warmly welcomed.
