Like Jenny, Kent Nichols and Doug Sarine still know where they came from.
Since the two LA-based improv comics launched their online, hyper-edited Q&A starring a logorheic, Japanese mercenary agent hopped up on too much Powerthirst in late 2005, they’ve leveraged the Ask a Ninja series into a sweet advertising deal, a print version, and a gig to pen and direct the reprise of 1978’s cult comedy, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
But being tapped for a major motion picture hasn’t made Kent and Doug forget the medium that got them noticed. So, for their upcoming movie, they’re offering “a walk-on role in a ‘death by killer tomato’ scene” to whomever uploads the best vid featuring a…“killer tomoato.”

Are the laughably poor production value and iMovie edits deliberate decisions made to stay true to the film’s B-movie-spoof aesthetic? If so, job well done. I’m hoping the remake will be as fantastic/terrible/fantastic as its contest’s instructions.
