Earlier this year, Amazon launched an Influencer Program aimed at top-level creators. Applicants accepted by the digital retailer received the ability to build a custom Amazon landing page on which they could vend items featured in their videos and receive commissions on any successful sales.

While that program is still technically in its beta period, it has now received an update. Amazon has launched a self-service tool that streamlines the Influencer Program’s application process and could lead to more creators coming on board.

Interested creators can see if they qualify for the Influencer Program by clicking this link and following the instructions therein. While Amazon has not specified any magic numbers that guarantee entry into the program, it has offered a few guidelines for potential applicants. Since the self-service tool requires users to share their YouTube accounts, Amazon is clearly most interested in the creators who shine on that program in particular. “While we look at the number of followers and other engagement metrics of your social media presence, we also look at the type of content you post and the relevancy it has for Amazon customers,” reads a FAQ section on the Influencer Program homepage.

Those who do not end up qualifying for the Influencer Program can instead make use of an Amazon Affiliate partnership, which also offers commissions on sales but does not allow creators to launch their own Amazon landing pages. In addition, applicants who do not make the cut are encouraged to “come back in the future as the eligibility requirements may change over time.”
