A new web series is looking to inspire action during the first three months (and change) of Donald Trump’s presidency. The show comes from the Legendary-owned digital platform Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls, and its first episode features an assist from Insecure creator and star Issa Rae.
Each episode of the First 100 Days web series drills into one of Trump’s policy proposals and breaks it down with a combination of research, humor, and snappy editing. The series is unabashed in its defiant views regarding the President’s plans, and Rae — who became famous as a web series creator before getting a show on HBO and earning an Emmy nomination — spends the first episode arguing against Trump’s plan to accelerate the deportation of undocumented immigrants.

Smart Girls, which takes its name from its tendency to spotlight women in STEM fields and other brainy professions, holds many opposing views to the Trump administration, and First 100 Days is clearly designed to be shared on social media. The best evidence for that theory is the fact that the Issa Rae video is distributed on Facebook and Twitter, two platforms that inspire viewers to pass on what they’ve learned.
