Delta is not the first airline company to capitalize on the obsessive nature of Internet culture. Virgin America has included original YouTube-based content for its in-flight programming since 2012; in 2013, the airline created a musical safety video, which went viral (it now has over 10 million views) and sparked a dance contest for a lucky winner to appear in the next safety video. Additionally, Air New Zealand’s Lord of the Rings-themed ad hit the top of YouTube’s ad leaderboard in October 2014 with over 11 million views.

You can check out Delta’s new safety video on the airline’s official YouTube channel. We dare you to pick out all the Internet-y references without looking at the video’s description.
