YouTube Millionaires: Eleventhgorgeous Sisters Add Comedy To Beauty

Welcome to YouTube Millionaires, where we profile channels that have recently crossed the one million subscriber mark. There are channels crossing this threshold every week, and each has a story to tell about YouTube success. Read previous installments of YouTube Millionaires here.

While there are scores of beauty and fashion vloggers on YouTube, only the truly genuine creators gain any sort of following. This is probably why Tracy and Stefanie B. have managed to rack up over one million subscribers on their eleventhgorgeous YouTube channel (and why their secondary vlog channel, TeeAndEss, has over 350,000 subs and counting). After you watch only a few of these sisters’ makeup tutorials and fashion videos, which are infused with their own brand of cute comedy and wholesome adventure, it’s easy to see these siblings from Alabama know what they’re talking about and enjoy talking about it.

We asked Tracy and Stefanie B. some questions after they hit the hit the one million subscriber milestone. Want to know what they said? Go get you some answers below.

Tubefilter: How does it feel to have one million subscribers? What do you have to say to them?

eleventhgorgeous: It feels UNREAL! We started so long ago (almost 6 years) and we are so happy to have so many AMAZING people who love and support us!  And to our EGHEADS… Heyyyyy Guysssss! Thank you so much for supporting us! We love you guys and hope you stick around because the fun is just getting started!

TF: What would you say is the biggest advantage of having two faces on your channel rather than one?

EG:  There’s definitely never a dull moment!! We feed off each other’s energy, so it’s always fun when we are filming! It’s also good because sometimes you get two different opinions.

TF: What would you say is each of your beauty “specialties”? Do either of you excel in any particular areas?

EG: Honestly, we are just two girls figuring it out as we go. Haha! When we started YouTube neither of us knew very much about makeup. YouTube has taught us basically everything we know about it. We are constantly learning new things and getting better at things we already know!

TF: Do you have any tips for newer creators trying to stand out in a YouTube community saturated with beauty content?

EG: Beauty is just the topic we choose to talk about, but it’s ultimately about being true to yourself and having fun! It doesn’t matter what you choose to talk about so much as how you talk about it. You can do the “popular” videos all day long, but at the end of the day viewers need to connect with you and not just the content.

TF: For your “back to school” videos, how do you make sure to stay up to date on current styles?

EG: If you look around you trends are everywhere. You could walk into any store and see them. We do sometimes attend functions where we learn the trends, but between magazines and shopping anyone can see what’s trendy. At the end of the day we take those trends and make them our own. It’s more fun that way!

TF: How much are your “How not to wear makeup” videos about comedy vs. actual makeup advice?

EG: It’s all about the comedy! We were seeing so many makeup tutorials on how to do makeup and thought: “Wouldn’t it be funny to tell people how NOT to do makeup?” Although, we aren’t actually telling people how NOT to wear makeup, it’s a fun way to express yourself because everyone is always telling you to do it a certain way and it’s liberating to color outside the lines! We’ve always loved making people laugh and thought it was a great way to incorporate what we talk about on our channel with our sense of humor.

TF: How do you decide which brands to partner with?

EG: We always ask ourselves one question: “Would we buy it?” We never work with companies we don’t like or believe in. Most of the time it’s a company we love and we already use their products, so it just feels right.

TF: What’s next for your channel? Any interesting plans?

EG: We are definitely exploring this at the moment. We’ve been talking about some pretty exciting things that we hope to share with everyone very soon!
