Reggaeton artist Ozuna is currently YouTube’s top artist of 2018, according to a report from Remezcla.
The singer, who joined YouTube in March 2016, had gotten over 2.7 billion views on his channel as of June 8, a representative from the video platform told Remezcla. Compared to other artists’ channels on the platform, that’s the highest cumulative view count this year. In total, Ozuna has received over 7.4 billion views on his channel since it launched.
In addition to the views on his own channel, Ozuna’s racked up another roughly 2.2 billion views through his videos that live elsewhere on YouTube, according to the company’s Artist Insights tool. That puts him at around 4.9 billion views so far in 2018.

Ozuna has over 16 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, where he regularly posts music videos. He has collaborated with popular artists like Cardi B and Daddy Yankee. He received awards for Top Latin Album and Latin Artist of the Year at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards and achieved recognition at the iHeartRadio Music Awards as the Best New Latin Artist.
The most watched video on Ozuna’s YouTube channel is the official video for Se Preparó, which currently counts over 800 million views and was posted in August 2017. The video comes from the Puerto Rican artist’s album Odisea, which features artists including De La Ghetto, J Balvin, and Nicky Jam.
However, even more widely viewed was a video posted to the Pina Records YouTube channel (7.2 million subscribers). The official video for Criminal, a collaboration between Ozuna and Dominican artist Natti Natasha, has gotten over 1.37 billion views to date.
