Drag queen superstar Shangela Laquifa Wadley is teaming up with Sh*t Black Girls Say creator Billy Sorrells for a new series on YouTube, Two Gay Guys in A Car.
For those of you who are not avid fans of the drag queen competition reality series on Logo RuPaul’s Drag Race, Shanglea was an infamous contestant on the show for seasons 2 and 3.
The self-described ‘Debutantess of The Deep South’ (aka D.J. Pierce when not in drag) says he came up with the idea in a Popeye’s drive-thru line while ordering the two-piece Tuesday special.
“All of you know what kind of foolishness goes on when you get in the car with your friends,” said Shangela in a post on the Huffington Post. “And that’s what this web series is all about.”
The series aims to kick off the Sh*t People Say phenomenon that inspired over a hundred of spin-offs and one Tubefilter Meetup. The video is gaining steam but not exactly catching fire: 13,000 views in the first week, a long way to go before it reaches Sh*t Black Girls Say‘s nearly 9 million.
