Twitch has tapped former Maker Studios executive Kendra Johnson as general manager of global content development and emerging markets.

In her new role, Johnson will spearhead global content acquisition efforts — and oversee all regional content development teams — while driving Twitch’s business in the critical Latin American and Asia Pacific markets. “My goal is to ensure creators and viewers around the world are fully versed in both the depth of our offerings and the strength of our community,” she said in a statement.

Johnson will report to John Howell, per Variety — Twitch’s VP of global partnerships.
