Fresh Off His Big Win, Floyd Mayweather Sits Down With Rudy Mancuso’s ‘Awkward Puppets’

On August 26, undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather pushed his lifetime record to 50-0 by outlasting MMA fighter Conor McGregor in a highly-publicized match. Now, as part of an extended victory lap, he has stopped by a popular YouTube channel to chat with a puppet. Mayweather guest starred in a video on Awkward Puppets, the comedy hub created by social media standout Rudy Mancuso.

With Mayweather’s Las Vegas strip club serving as their backdrop, the boxer and Mancuso’s Diego puppet sat down together to chat about girls, money, music, and more. A running gag in the episode concerns Mayweather’s many retirements from the sport that made him famous. Diego is skeptical that his guest has truly hung up his gloves for the final time, though Mayweather insists that he’s done for good and adds in a mild threat to make sure Diego gets the message.

Driven by the popularity of its two stars, the latest Awkward Puppets video has landed on YouTube’s trending tab. Just one day after its release, it has already surpassed 500,000 total views.
