European YouTube festival VideoDays is set to welcome 300 creators and 15,000 fans to its 10th-ever gathering in Cologne, Germany on August 24 and 25.
The event, to be held at the Lanxess arena, will feature an interactive stage show as well as meet-and-greets with top creators, including pop musician Mike Singer, vlogger Melina Sophie, gaming creators Felix von der Laden and ConCrafter, and English singing/rapping duo Bars and Melody.
VideoDays launched as a small fan meetup with just 450 guests back in 2010, and today welcomes top influencers from YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Musical.ly, and Snapchat — who hail from Germany and beyond. This year’s event will kick off with a live show and awards ceremony, where PlayAwards will be handed out to top creators in categories like music, gaming, and lifestyle. The second day of the event will be dedicated to meet-and-greets.

During day one, YouTube will also present Golden Play Buttons to creators who have surpassed 1 million subscribers. And creators like Datteltäter, who are a part of the platform’s Creators For Change initiative — a collective of YouTubers using their voices to counter xenophobia, extremism, and hatred — will also be highlighted during the show.
“With more than 300 confirmations from artists reaching a combined total of more than 30 million fans on YouTube, this year’s line-up is already breaking all records,” said the event’s founder, YouTube star Christoph Krachten. Videodays was acquired by the FremantleMedia-owned, Berlin-based multi-channel network Divimove in April, which said it intends to launch different iterations of the event in more European countries in the future.
