YouTube, one of the most trafficked websites on the planet with over a billion users and hundreds of hours of video uploaded to its servers every minute, is down this morning for many individuals in the Northeastern United States. The outage started shortly after 9:00AM EST and the site still appears to inaccessible for many users at the time of this posting.
Naturally, people took to Twitter to ask WTF was going on.

The last time that YouTube was down was in February, when outages were temporarily reported across Europe. We’ve reached out to the company to see what’s going on and will keep you updated as soon as we hear anything.
UPDATE 6/16 10AM ET: A YouTube spokesperson got back to us with the following: “We’re reading reports that a subset of users are having trouble accessing YouTube. We’re looking into it and will update everyone when we know more.”
