The Abrams Artists Agency has been one of the most active talent houses in the digital video industry, and that trend is continuing unabated into April. The agency, which has offices in New York and Los Angeles, has added YouTube stars Katy DeGroot of LustreLux and Yolanda Gampp of How To Cake It to its roster.
DeGroot released the first video on her channel in February 2014, and in the three years since then, she has risen up to become one of the preeminent influencers in the beauty and makeup space. She entertains her 1.7 million subscribers by sharing hairstyles, product tutorials, looks inspired by celebrities, hauls from the drugstore, and other video formats that become commonplace among creators in her category.
Gampp, like DeGroot, is a quick riser on YouTube. It took her little more than a year of activity to jump to one million subscribers, and she is now closing in on the three million follower mark. Her fun, playful cake designs, which are often inspired by pop culture, have been a hit, and as a result, she’s been able to make several TV appearances, including one on The Today Show.
Both DeGroot and Gampp will join the Abrams roster, through which they will be able to land new opportunities across multiple platforms. Other recently announced Abrams signees include Jackie Hernandez and Matthew Espinosa.
