Our first glimpse at Carpool Karaoke: The Series has arrived via a teaser that debuted during last night’s Grammy Awards telecast — which was also headlined by late-night host James Corden.
It was previously announced that Corden will not host the forthcoming Carpool Karaoke series — instead, it will feature curated pairings of celebrities and singers. And, in the teaser, we see several duos getting their groove on, including Shaquille O’Neal and John Cena, Billy Eichner and Metallica, Alicia Keys and John legend, and Blake Shelton and Chelsea Handler. Corden will, however, appear in a handful of episodes, including alongside the famed rapper-actor Will Smith.
In addition to the classic sing-along format, the teaser also showcases some of the stars hopping out of the car and into the public domain — including bakeries, laundromats, and parks — to surprise unsuspecting bystanders. Check it out below:
Carpool Karaoke: The Series still doesn’t have a precise release date, but is set to debut on Apple Music “soon.” It is the first show from the $10-per-month streaming service, which in December said that it had clocked 20 million paying subscribers.
Other series in the works at Apple include a reality competition show called Planet Of The Apps, a Dr. Dre-starring scripted drama entitled Vital Signs, and a documentary about Drake’s music label, Cash Money Records. It is still unknown, however, whether these projects will premiere on Apple Music or elsewhere.
