Digital Network Young Hollywood Announces First Feature Film, ‘Brad & Spencer’

In its latest expansion, Young Hollywood is bringing an animated movie to its fans. The digital media company, which often focuses on celebrity culture, has announced Brad & Spencer, a feature film that will be distributed through video on-demand platforms.

The titular characters of Brad & Spencer are a pair of slackers who are on a mission to evolve from their small-town origins and become social media stars. Armed with little more than their bold attitudes, they attempt a series of daring stunts, with predictable results. The project’s trailer shows off just a few of adventures Brad and Spencer will get up to.

The decision to launch a feature film is the latest piece of the Young Hollywood puzzle. After finding success on YouTube, where it has more than 200 million views, the network expanded its long-form presence through an over-the-top app in 2014. In 2016, it made a name for itself by becoming one of the first brands to embrace mobile live streaming platforms like Musical.ly.

“We recently produced and distributed several animated shorts, so we are excited to continue our expansion by releasing our first animated feature directly to our fans,” said RJ Williams, Founder and CEO of Young Hollywood, in a press release. “Brad & Spencer became fan favorites, so we wanted to create a spin off focusing on these characters and expanding their storyline to new hilarious heights.”

Brad & Spencer will premiere on February 9th. It will be available through iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Instant Video, VHX, Vimeo, and Vudu, and will cost $2.99.
