Gamer and fandom-focused digital network Machinima has tapped the creator Danika Massey — better known to her 700,000 social followers as ComicBookGirl19 — to host its latest series, Greater Creators.
The 14-episode series, debuting today exclusively on Verizon’s go90 mobile video platform, will explore the life and works of creative icons including Watchmen writer Alan Moore, Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, Dune novelist Frank Herbert, Stephen King, and Stanley Kubrick. The series will also feature lesser known figures like anime auteur Hayao Miyazaki, comic book artist Frank Frazetta, and visual effects pioneer Ray Harryhausen.
Episode one will cover comic book legend Jack Kirby, and new episodes will launch every Tuesday. Check out a trailer right here:

Massey, who has become globally renowned for her commentary on all things comic book, counts 520,000 YouTube subscribers and 42 million lifetime views, with her most popular clips tackling works like Prometheus, X-Men, and Game Of Thrones. Most recently, Massey hosted a late-night variety series for Marvel on go90 titled Off The Rack, and released a three-part documentary alongside Vimeo titled Epic History: X-Men.
Machinima, which says it reaches 150 million viewers every month, launched a Happy Wheels series on go90 in November — adapted from the uber-popular video game. That same month, Warner Bros. Entertainment announced that it had purchased Machinima for a reported $100 million.
