DanceOn Debuts Global Dance Docuseries ‘Yak Like We Do’ Exclusively On Go90

DanceOn, a subsidiary of digital programming brand Izo, premiered today a new series exclusively on Verizon’s go90 platform titled Yak Like We Do. The docuseries, created alongside global production outfit Yak Films, will follow rising stars in under-the-radar dance battle communities in South Korea, Japan, and the United States.

The first season will comprise 12, 11-minute episodes — three of which will be available to stream exclusively on go90 every Friday beginning today. Every episode will dive deep into different dance subcultures within Bucheon City, Tokyo, Oakland, and Manhattan.

“We’re excited to show audiences a new side of these cities they usually don’t see,” said Yak Films’ Yoram Savion, who serves as an executive producer on the project alongside DanceOn’s Kristin-Campbell Taylor. “Yak Like We Do will share the passion and creativity that dance inspires in languages and cultures across the globe.” Yak Films began as a production team to document the Turf Feinz urban dance crew in Oakland — who innovated the TURF (Taking Up Room on the Floor) dancing style.
