Rosanna Pansino (Hilariously) Bakes For The Cookie Monster On His 47th Birthday

Though he doesn’t appear to have aged a bit, today the Cookie MonsterSesame Street’s favorite sweets-craving Muppet — is celebrating his 47th birthday. And he’s doing it with the help of one of YouTube’s foremost chefs.

In a video released yesterday by Rosanna Pansino, whose popular Nerdy Nummies series showcases geek-inspired baked goods, Pansino teaches the Cookie Monster how to make his favorite dessert. And then, on a healthier note on Sesame Street’s YouTube channel, the two concoct a quick and healthy snack in the form of a deconstructed peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

The videos are part of Sesame Street’s Love To Learn campaign — the theme of which this month is cooking. The initiative, announced in June, encourages kids to learn with the help of YouTube stars and other celebrities including the Eh Bee Family, Simon’s Cat, musical duo Lennon & Maisy, Jérôme Jarre, Jason Derulo, and Tori Kelly. In September, for instance, Elmo received back-to-school tips from the Eh Bee Family, while in December, Jarre will spearhead a mission to spread kindness throughout New York City.

This isn’t the first time that Pansino, who counts more than 7 million subscribers and 1.7 billion lifetime views on her flagship channel, has cooked alongside one of the Muppets. In 2014, she collaborated with Miss Piggy and The Swedish Chef to promote the release of the Muppets Most Wanted movie.

Check out Pansino’s latest collaboration — in which the Cookie Monster prematurely gobbles down ingredients, ‘googly-eyeballs’ the amount of flour needed for the recipe, and then launches into an impromptu dance break — below:
