Fandango’s Movieclips Trailers Channel Uses Film Quotes To Thank Its Ten Million Subscribers

The exclusive club of YouTube channels with ten million subscribers now has one more member. The Movieclips Trailers channel, owned by movie ticketing company Fandango, has released a video celebrating its achievement of YouTube’s eight-digit milestone.

Movieclips Trailers, which Fandango bought from Zefr (along with the other destinations in the Movieclips network) in 2014, is a hub on which viewers can find previews for upcoming films. Its ten-million subscriber count is matched by an impressive view total; to date, the channel has received more than seven billion hits on its videos. In fitting fashion, it celebrated its ten million subscribers with a video that quotes from famous movies. Among other lines, Movieclips made sure to let its viewers know they make it feel, as Leonardo DiCaprio would say, like “the king of the world.”

“Surpassing 10 million subscribers on our movie trailers YouTube channel is a significant milestone as we strive to super-serve consumers with all their movie needs from movie discovery to ticketing and beyond,” said Fandango CCO Sandro Corsaro in a press release. “Movie fans, especially millennials, are turning to Fandango as their go-to provider for the latest movie trailers, original and exclusive content around favorite franchises, and as their online and mobile ticketer. We look forward to expanding our multichannel network on YouTube even more over the next year, with new content from Rotten Tomatoes.”

Some of that new content has already arrived. One of Fandango’s newest shows is self-explanatory Indie Movie Guide, hosted by Alicia Malone. Here’s the latest episode of that show, which can be found on the Movieclips Film Festivals & Indie Films channel:
