Glove And Boots Creates Custom Response Videos For Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, And Reddit

Over their six years on the Internet, the puppets of Glove and Boots have offered their viewers some important services. They have instructed us how to use proper grammar, sussed out the mysteries of the modern hipster, and provided a guide to visiting New York. With its latest project, the Glove and Boots gang has shared yet another important aid for its fans: A series of videos that serve as perfect responses to common posts on social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Reddit.

The 34 videos in Glove and Boots’ new series cover a wide variety of social media situations. Need to comment on a friend’s wedding? You’re covered. Want to complain about a badly-filmed concert video? No worries. Want to upvote a Reddit post in style? Here you go. Have no specific feelings one way or the other? Meh.

Glove and Boots’ offered up an explanation of its new series — as well as instructions on how to use the videos — in a video posted to its YouTube channel:

While the responses were tailor-made for use on the four social media platforms mentioned above, some of them are broad enough that they can be applied to any online conversation where they might fit. This one, for example, figures to get some heavy use as the upcoming presidential election draws near.

Even if none of the response videos catch on, I will still applaud any addition to the “big playlist of super-specific videos” format. First, there was Stephen Colbert, and now, there is Glove and Boots. Happy responding, Internet.
