The Latest Creator To Sign With Talent Agency WME Is New Zealand’s Jamie Curry

At age 20, Jamie Curry is arguably the most successful YouTube star to come out of New Zealand. Now, thanks to a new deal, a Hollywood talent agency is hoping raise her profile even higher. As first reported by Variety, WME has signed the Kiwi vlogger for representation in all areas.

Curry first rose to prominence as a teenager. Through the vlogs, challenges, collaborations, and other videos on her Jamie’s World channel, she endeared herself to millions of fans. Her YouTube channel, which counts more than 1.3 million subscribers, is a key part of her success, but she’s found her biggest audience on Facebook, where her official page has nearly ten million fans.

Bolstered by her social media success, Curry has brought her star to multiple offline projects. She authored a Jamie’s World book in 2015 and embarked on a tour across New Zealand and Australia that same year. By representing Curry, WME is hoping to foster more book deals and tours for her, as well as potential projects in film and TV.
