AWEme Channel To Show How Complex Items Are Destroyed In New Series

Across its current lineup of shows, AWEme teaches its viewers how weapons are forged, how props are built, and how epic tasks can be accomplished on more human terms. Now, the channel has a new show in the works, and it will showcase extreme acts of destruction. AWEme owner and operator Defy Media and production company 3 Ball Entertainment (Bar Rescue) have teamed up for a development deal that will first result in an upcoming program called How It’s Destroyed.

How It’s Destroyed will inform viewers about the processes through which complex objects are disposed of. Machinery that will be discussed on the show will include nuclear weaponry, satellites, and submarines, among others.

What’s most significant about How It’s Destroyed isn’t the show itself, but what it represents for Defy Media’s future. The digital video company produces more than 70 series for its owned-and-operated channels, but this will be the first program produced by an outside entity for distribution on a Defy Media destination. “We’re thrilled to partner with a company as prolific as 3 Ball Entertainment in producing programming that aligns with our brands and to create opportunity for original projects that have the potential to move to other media platforms,” said Jared Hoffman, Defy Media’s EVP of Television/OTT Production and Development, in a press release.
