Rooster Teeth Searches For Next Generation Of Gaming Stars Alongside AT&T

For more than a decade, the team over at Rooster Teeth has committed itself to high-quality programming that marries video games to comedy. Now, with its latest series, Rooster Teeth is looking to shine light on the next generation of gaming stars. The Austin-based studio has partnered with the AT&T Hello Lab for a competition series called Schooled.

Schooled will star Geoff Ramsey, the co-founder of Rooster Teeth and the ringleader of its Let’s Play team. Ramsey will recruit a group of young gamers between the ages of eight and 12 and will train them to face off against other members of the Rooster Teeth gang. If Ramsey’s coworkers emerge victorious, he will have to get fellow Let’s Player Gavin Free’s nose tattooed somewhere on his body, so the stakes are quite high.

“We’re getting pretty old here at Rooster Teeth, so it’s time to start passing on our knowledge to a younger generation,” said Ramsey in a press release. “As a father and gamer, I’m excited to get the chance to work with these kids, and to make a show for everyone who is into gaming, including families. And hopefully my team beats the adults, because I’m not sure I want to live with Gavin’s nose on my body for the rest of my life.”
