NFL Reveals The 96 Classic Games It Will Post On YouTube

In May, the NFL announced an initiative that invited the fans of its 32 franchises to vote for their favorite games of all-time. The plan, as the NFL put it, was to upload the three most popular games for each team to the league’s official YouTube channel.

Now, the votes are in, and the 96 games that will be enshrined on the Internet have been selected. The full list can be found on the NFL’s website, and the videos themselves will arrive on YouTube in August.

The most immediately apparent fact about the classic games that will be uploaded to YouTube is that they aren’t particularly classic. Most fanbases selected games from the 90s, 00s, and 10s, with only a handful of choices from the 70s and 80s and just one game — the Jets Super Bowl III win in 1969 — from before then. Another fun fact is that the Cowboys tied with the Packers as the most common opponent among all the selected games. I guess America likes to watch “America’s Team” lose more often than people from Dallas would like to admit.
