Tyler Oakley, Jimmy Fallon, ‘Making A Murderer’, HBO Now Named 20th Annual Webby Awards Winners

The Webby Awards, which recognize excellence on the Internet, has announced its 20th annual winners roster — which will be celebrated at a ceremony on May 16 in New York City. Winners were chosen by an academy comprising Reddit’s Alexis Ohanian and Instagram’s Eva Chen, as well as more than 2 million votes from fans in 235 countries.

In the influencer realm, Tyler Oakley nabbed the Webby Award for Best Web Personality, beating out Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, The Slow Mo Guys, Kid President, and Carmelo Anthony.

Late-night hosts also received a number of accolades this year. Jimmy Fallon won for Best Social Content and Marketing; Last Week Tonight with John Oliver won for Best Writing in Social; and Jimmy Kimmel Live! won in the Viral category (for the second time in a row) for his I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy challenge. Carpool Karaoke, James Corden’s flagship series, was also a winner this year.
