It’s another installment of the weekly Tubefilter Chart of the Top 50 Most Viewed YouTube Channels Worldwide and a young upstart is in the top spot.

Chart Toppers
WWE couldn’t hold onto the #1 Most Viewed YouTube Channel Worldwide belt for a fourth week. The online video home for all things World Wrestling Entertainment dipped 19% in views and down to the #5 spot, bottoming out at a still-impressive 119.6 million views on the week. That gave the hot young upstart that is Ryan ToysReview just the space it needed to claim first place. Six-year-old Ryan’s online video exploits shot up 7% and amassed an incredible 147.9 million views on the week.
In second place is T-Series. The YouTube home of the self-proclaimed #1 music label in India dipped 2% to end the week with more than 133 million views. Up next in the #3 spot is the eccentric Webs & Tiaras – Toy Monster Compilations. The repository of videos featuring adults dressed as various Disney and comic book characters enacting a variety of everyday, superhero, and surreal scenes attracted nearly 128 million views in the week.
And in fourth place is netd müzik. The Turkish music network saw a 4% increase in views to close out the week with almost 121.5 million.
Top Gainers
The honor of one of our Top Gainers this week goes to BuzzFeed Yellow.
The Yellow iteration of BuzzFeed’s YouTube strategy always does well on the world’s largest video sharing site, but the home of “more fun, inspiring, interesting videos from the BuzzFeed crew” had a particularly great week thanks to a handful of popular uploads. “Women See What They’ll Look Like In 40 Years,” “Things Virgins Are Tired Of Hearing,” and “Couples See What Their Future Kids Will Look Like” all racked up seven-figure view counts, contributing to the channel’s 27% week-over-week increase in views, more than 68.1 million views on the week, and the #16 spot on the worldwide chart.
All in all, the top 50 most viewed YouTube channels accounted for 3,409,194,473 views last week. Here’s the distribution of a few of those channels by multi-channel network:
- Vevo: 9 channels in the Top 50, with Justin Bieber at #7.
- Maker Studios: 3 channels in the Top 50, with TheDiamondMinecart at #13.
- BuzzFeed, Studio71, XMediaDigital: 2 channels each in the Top 50, with BuzzFeed’s BuzzFeed Video at #9, Studio71’s Webs & Tiaras – Toy Monster Compilations at #3, and XMediaDigital’s mashamedvedtv at #10.
And here’s the distribution of the this week’s Top 50 YouTube channels by country of origin:
- United States: 23 channels in the Top 50.
- Canada, Great Britain, India: 4 channels each in the Top 50.
- Russia: 2 channels in the Top 50.
- Argentina, Chile, El Salvador, Ireland, Netherlands, Nigeria, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine: 1 channel each in the Top 50.
