Description: The world of nutritional supplements is weird, and Reed Yurman believes she can play it for comedy. Yurman is the creative force behind Clean Living, a project currently seeking funds on Indiegogo.
Clean Living will be set in a health foods store in Manhattan and will follow the store’s owner, who discovers an illicit supplement trade ring in his basement. What will follow is a satirical tale that will be feature “a touch of comedy, a hint of magic and a lot of heart,” according to the project’s Indiegogo page.
The premise for Clean Living draws from Yurman’s own experience working in a health foods store, and should she raise the money she is asking for, she hopes to submit her project to festivals. More information is available in the pitch video:
Creator Bio: Yurman is a senior at NYU. She is directing Clean Living as her senior thesis.
Best Perk: If you contribute at least $75, you’ll receive your own bottle of the secret supplement at the center of Clean Living‘s plot. What’s in it? Beats me.
Why You Should Fund It: With the information provided by the Indiegogo campaign, I’ll admit it is tough to make a strong judgement of Clean Living, one way or another. Instead, viewers can judge Yurman’s body of work; she has a number of her previous projects up on her Vimeo channel, and they’re of sufficient quality to make Clean Living an intriguing pick. Within the indie video scene, this is a project to watch, and it looks to carry enough charm and passion to be a worthwhile watch.
