The Fine Brothers have released yet another brilliantly-timed and pertinently-themed ‘react’ video on the eve of last night’s GOP debate, during which the rhetoric took a rather unexpected (and juvenile) turn.
Entitled Kids React to Donald Trump, the clip has already racked up almost 1 million views overnight. At the outset of the video, the reactors — all of whom are between the ages seven and 13 — seem tickled by some of Trump’s outbursts. But by the end, they are almost unanimously appalled, with cries of “This guy is mean!” “That’s so mean!” and “That’s so rude!”
“He’s like a five-year-old,” says 13-year-old Kayla, when a clip is shown of Trump complaining about the microphone quality at one of his rallies. “He throws tantrums about, like, stupid things.”

When Trump starts screaming at opponent Ted Cruz during one of the debates, nine-year-old Gabe says, “That’s kinda like me and my brother.”
But sometimes, the reactors attempted to exhibit a kind of maturity that they felt the candidate lacked. When Trump questioned John McCain’s status as a war hero, saying, “I like people who weren’t captured,” 12-year-old Morgan is wide-eyed with disbelief. “You don’t really joke about that kinda stuff,” she says. “It’s kinda serious.”
The Fine Brothers’ react series, which has been beset with its own controversies in recent weeks, has in the past covered a wide array of topics. ranging from the inane (such as James Franco and Seth Rogan reacting to a Freaks and Geeks-themed game) to the profound (when teens discussed Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai.)
