There have been a number of recent legal disputes between music labels and YouTube content creators. For that reason, it is extremely important for videomakers to know about the YouTube Audio Library, which offers its users access to a plethora of royalty-free tracks on demand. The Audio Library has grown in size since its launch in 2013, and its most recent expansion is its biggest one yet: YouTube has added 1,000 tracks to the Audio Library across a variety of genres.
The names of the composers who have contributed to the Audio Library’s new influx of tracks won’t be familiar to most people, but their work is instantly recognizable among YouTube viewers. Kevin MacLeod, for example, has composed a prolific number of musical hooks that have been used by YouTubers around the world. Personally, I find “Scheming Weasel” to be particularly inescapable.
