Hulu Hypes Its ‘Seinfeld’ Deal By Recreating The Sitcom’s Apartment Set

Hulu, you may have heard, recently pulled off one of its biggest coups yet by acquiring the streaming rights to all nine seasons of Seinfeld for a rumored sum of $180 million. With the rights secured, Hulu then had to focus on its next task: How can it make a nearly-20-year-old sitcom new again? To that end, it has teamed up with ad agency Magnetic Collaborative to recreate Seinfeld’s apartment set as an interactive exhibit.

The Seinfeld apartment can be found at 451 W 14th Street in Manhattan, and it will open on June 24th, the same day as Seinfeld’s arrival on Hulu. Through the following Sunday, June 28th, fans will be able to walk through the iconic set and participate in a number of themed activities. For example, guests will be invited to pull off their own clattering entrance, just as Kramer does in the show. Consider this video a study guide:

Hulu’s promotional plans for Seinfeld are not limited to the apartment. In addition, the streaming video platform will spend the week prior to the 24th counting down the seven best episodes of the series. Each day, one of those episodes will become available to Hulu users. Stay tuned to Hulu’s Seinfeld homepage to see which episodes make the cut. If “The Hamptons” doesn’t earn a spot on the list, we riot.
