‘Burning Love’ Studio, Fox To Bring ‘Filthy Sexy Teen$’ To Fullscreen

In 2014, Jonathan Stern and Keith Quinn–who both served as executives for the critically-acclaimed Yahoo web series Burning Love–teamed up with FOX for a first-look deal. Now, four comedy series born out of the partnership between FOX, Stern, and Quinn have been announced. Among other projects, the producing duo are planning Filthy Sexy Teen$a salaciously-titled series that will premiere online via the Fullscreen network.

Filthy Sexy Teen$ will be produced through Stern’s Abonimable Pictures, which in addition to Burning Love has produced two other reality TV parodies: The Hotwives of Orlando and Beef. In Teen$, “two wealthy teen siblings, thought to be lost at sea, return home and attempt to re-climb the high school social ladder,” according to information from FOX.

Each of the eight episodes in Teen$‘s first season will feature half-hour runtimes. The series will make its North American debut via Fullscreen, which claims more than five billion views per month across its online video network.

Beyond Teen$, Stern and Quinn are also working on three other projects alongside FOX. Drive Share, which will feature Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer, will follow a group of drivers and their passengers; Criminal Records will center on “two out-of-touch music execs who see themselves as the saviors of rock ‘n’ roll;” and Grand Marquee will star Jerry Minor as an old-school rapper struggling to remain relevant. FOX did not share distribution details for those projects.

“We are pleased to announce this first slate of projects, which are a direct result of the unique creative freedom and flexibility of this venture,” said Quinn and Stern. “The talented creators we are working with see the benefit in being able to shoot something right away without a long development process. A finished piece often represents a show better than a pitch or a script can.”

In addition to these four projects, FOX noted that “an additional wave of production is scheduled for the coming months.”
