Steve Buscemi’s ‘Park Bench’ Returning To AOL For Second Season

With its yearly Newfronts presentation around the corner, AOL has announced a second season for one of its most significant original series. Park Bench, which centers on actor Steve Buscemi as he chats candidly with celebrity guests in informal settings, will air new episodes via AOL On.

Park Bench was first announced directly before last year’s Newfronts, where AOL touted it among 12 brand new, star-driven original series. The first season, which featured guest appearances from Chris Rock, Janeane Garofalo, and Buscemi’s brother Michael in its debut episode, arrived in May of that year. Park Bench succeeded not just because of Buscemi’s rapport with his guests, but also because of scripted elements that added a fun, playful twist to the talk show format.

Viewers who check out Park Bench‘s second season should expect more of the same. According to a press release from AOL, guests who will join Buscemi on the second season include Elvis Costello, John Oliver, Amber Tamblyn, Robert Smigel, Jim Jarmusch, and David Blaine.

“Give me a seat on a park bench and I’m happy,” said Buscemi in the release. “Give me a second season of Park Bench on AOL to talk about nothing and everything with old friends and new in an ever changing New York City – what could be better?”

AOL is expected to discuss Park Bench–as well as its other new and returning video projects–during its Newfronts presentation on April 28th. One of the company’s new series, titled Journey to the Draft, has already been announced. The rest will be revealed shortly.
