Tyler Oakley, Lilly Singh, Dude Perfect, Slo Mo Guys To Kick Off YouTube’s 10th Birthday Celeberations Fans In New York City

On April 23rd, the first video ever posted to YouTube will turn ten. That milestone gives Google’s online video site a reason to celebrate, so it’s throwing a party – and some of its biggest stars are invited. On April 29th, right before YouTube’s annual Brandcast, the site will host a kick off event for its month-long 10th birthday bash, and creators like Tyler Oakley, Lilly “Superwoman” Singh, Dude Perfect, and The Slow Mo Guys will attend.

The event will take place in New York City, where YouTube will deliver its Brandcast to advertisers and press as part of the Digital Content Newfronts. The event will run beforehand, giving brands and marketers the ability to see up close and personal the screams, smiles, and swoons online video celebrities can elicit from large crowds. Among other festivities, party attendees will be able to take photos with Oakley in a Slumber Party photobooth, shoot slow motion videos with Gav and Dan, and attempt trick shots with Dude Perfect.

This is the second year in a row YouTube has added a fan-facing element to its Brandcast. In 2014, preceding YouTube’s presentation at the Madison Square Garden Theater, Bethany Mota hosted a meetup for her fans at MSG.

The upcoming event will kick off a “month-long celebration” that, according to a media advisory from YouTube, will last throughout May. The participating creators have already begun mobilizing their respective audiences, so we’re expecting a busy event in NYC.

Additional attendees may be announced as April 29th approaches.
