On April 3rd, The Grace Helbig Show, which stars the titular YouTube vlogger and funnywoman, will debut on E!. In advance of her talk show’s arrival, Helbig joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, where the discussion spanned from her childhood to her plans for her TV program.
When not chatting with Fallon about her mom’s parenting techniques, Helbig shared details about The Grace Helbig Show, which will air on Friday nights after The Soup. She called it “a curious introvert’s nighttime talk show” and noted how, as with her YouTube channel, viewer participation will play a significant role:
“I really wanted to be a show where people can ‘hang-in’ with me on a Friday night, and where I can go online and ask for suggestions [about] things that should be in the house, ways i should say goodbye on the show, questions I should ask guests, things like that, and make it feel like everyone is making this together. It’s not just me and a production company saying ‘watch this now, this is our art.'”

Helbig also starred in a web exclusive on the YouTube channel of Tonight Show, which has increasingly turned to online video to expand and engage its audience. Based on suggestions from her fans, Helbig gave her answers to a few “Would You Rather?” questions.
Helbig is not the first online video star to appear on The Tonight Show, but it’s very cool that Fallon’s other guest on his March 25th episode was Mitt Romney. You know what this means: Grace Helbig for President.
