As TheVideoInk notes, Tastemade TV is also available on Roku devices, where it launched at the end of 2014. The new deal, however, brings the app’s feed exclusively to Apple’s set-top box, which is also one of the exclusive launch partners of HBO’s upcoming HBO Now service. These partnerships will aid Apple as it looks to up its digital TV presence; according to a report from the Wall Street Journal, the tech company has plans to launch a 25-channel digital TV service in the fall.

Beyond Tastemade, Apple TV is also home to new apps from culture site Young Hollywood and the TED conference. Those destinations will feature content from their respective video networks, both of which include thriving YouTube channels.

Over the past two years, Tastemade has evolved into a prime destination for food content on YouTube. A recent Nielsen study touted the network’s appeal among Millennials and the brand lift seen by its advertising partners. The Apple TV app adds another piece to the Tastemade puzzle, and it comes at just the right time: Apple recently announced that Apple TV will be discounted from $99 to $69.
