Interlude, Pop Band AJR Debut Interactive Video Experience

Interlude Media‘s unique form of video storytelling technology never ceases to amaze. The interactive media company just released a new, hands-on video experience in conjunction with the band AJR.

AJR is a musical trio consisting of New York City brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met. After debuting the Infinity EP in fall 2014, AJR saw their hit song “I’m Ready” featured by NBC in its Olympic Games promos. Additionally, the Met brothers have already performed a cover of “Wagon Wheel” with Meghan Trainor, and toured with the likes of Hoodie Allen, Demi Lovato, Lindsey Stirling, and Train.

Interlude’s work for AJR helps fans get to know the band and gives viewers a personalized, ever-changing experience. The interactive video features six different sub-videos, ranging from topics like speed dating one of the Met brothers or “talking” to them about what’s on their phones. Interlude’s video also includes an engaging version of AJR’s “I’m Ready” music video. The video gives audiences a chance to win a trip to the band’s NYC show by acting as the group’s “social media manager” and “sharing” as many social posts as possible during the clip.

The group of videos is embedded throughout the larger project, and each clip affects what happens next for the viewer. The project coincides with the release of AJR’s first full-length, 13-track album Living Room from Warner Bros. Records and AJR Productions (the Met brothers recorded the entire album in their apartment).

Interlude has already teamed with several well-known musicians for interactive video experiences. Two of the company’s biggest projects were music videos for Coldplay’s “Ink” and Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone.” In December 2014, Interlude partnered with Warner Music Group to bring artists more storytelling options via video, as well as increased sponsorship and distribution opportunities.
