Description: LARPs follows a group of five live-action role players both inside and outside their gaming sessions. Each character comes with his or her own quirks, leading to a series full of amusing interactions. The first season of the series first debuted in June 2014; seven months later, it made its way to the Geek & Sundry channel, where the episodes can currently be found.

Now, the team behind the first season of LARPs is looking to return for another adventure. Should the campaign raise the funding it seeks, viewers will be treated to a second season even bigger and better than the one that came before it. “In season one, we introduced our characters and set the stage,” reads the campaign. “In season two, it’s time to let them loose.”

Creator Bio: Beanduck Productions, which is based in Montreal, is led by LARPs’ director, Julian Stambouliehand its producer, Benjamin Warner. Beyond its web series work, Beanduck has also completed a number of commercial projects.

Best Perk: The $100 “Loot Chest” includes a dagger from Epic Armoury. Buy it, and you can roll into your next LARP repping the series about LARPing.

Why You Should Fund It: LARPs is far from the only series to put role playing the spotlight, but it approaches its subject with a combination of honest appreciation and smart satire that manages to appeal to both hardcore LARPers and viewers who are completely new to the subject. Even if you’ve never swung a weapon in your life, you can still appreciate the strong writing and likable characters that populate LARPs. Give the first season a watch and you’ll learn why Geek & Sundry likes this series so much–and why we do, too.
