Smosh Games, Wired Debate Best Games Of All Time In ‘Game|Life’

Game|Life has taken on a frequently-argued gaming topic. The web series created by Condé Nast Entertainment’s WIRED publication and YouTube channel collaborated with Smosh Games to determine the best video games of all time.

In the newest Game|Life episode, WIRED gaming editor Chris Kohler and Smosh Games’ Mari, Jovenshire, Sohinki, and Lasercorn debate which video games deserve the “best of all time” title. The episode spans eight categories: first-person shooter, platform, action, role-playing, strategy, sports, puzzle, and fighting. In each category, two participants square off to argue the case for their favorite game in that genre. The remaining three members then decide which game deserves to be crowned best of all time based on the rhetorician who most successfully defended his or her choice.

The episode comes in at a whopping 15 minutes in length. However, Wired took this length into account by adding annotations that jump the video ahead to each of the eight individual debates.

This Game|Life episode is the final part of WIRED‘s collaboration with Smosh Games (though it’s hopefully not the last time the two work together). Previously, the group of gamers teamed with WIRED to choose the best games of 2014, covering both indie and AAA titles. The two groups also covered the best gaming news of 2014 in another Game|Life episode.
