For Fans Without Tickets, Playlist Live Offers “Virtual Experience”

Between February 6th and February 8th, 2015, thousands of fans will flock to Orlando for Playlist Live. The three-day event will allow attendees to experience performances, panels, and meet-and-greet sessions hosted by their favorite social media celebrities. Unfortunately, the demand for Playlist’s limited tickets far exceeds the supply, and the event sells out incredibly quickly each year. In order to combat that problem, the Playlist Live powers that be at have launched the Playlist Live Virtual Experience, an online hub that will feature live streaming content for the very low price of free throughout the weekend.

The Virtual Experience will cover the action from all over Playlist Live. Dozens of cameras will be trained on both of the main stages as well as the backstage area. Online viewers will also be able to stream footage from the event’s Business Insight Track, which, like VidCon’s Industry Track, caters to professionals within the online video community. The live stream will offer educational tools, creator profiles, and other bonus features for viewers who are looking to immerse themselves in the Playlist Live experience, too.

Users at home will be able to instantly switch between the various live streamed locations and Playlist attendees will also be able to access the Virtual Experience to enjoy the event’s offerings from one stage while they wait in line for signings and selfies from YouTube, Vine, and social media stars. All at no cost.

A representative for Playlist Live explained to Tubefilter the Virtual Experience serves as a way for the event to cater to fans around the globe. In addition to the potential attendees who failed to snag tickets before they all sold out, many fans live too far from Florida to make the trip. For them, the Virtual Experience, with its exhaustive coverage, is the next best thing.

As of this post, nearly 200 stars, most of whom are famous for their videos on YouTube and Vine (like Alfie DeyesBart Baker, Caspar Lee, GloZell, Jenna Marbles, Kian Lawley, Meghan Tonjes, Prank vs Prank, Rebecca Black, Toby Turner, Tyler Oakley, Zoella, and more) are expected to attend Playlist Live. There, they’ll all meet plenty of adoring fans, and now, thanks to the Virtual Experience, many more will get the chance to follow along from home.
