YouTube Millionaires: Rclbeauty101 Likes To “Differentiate Myself”

Welcome to YouTube Millionaires, where we profile channels that have recently crossed the one million subscriber mark. There are channels crossing this threshold every week, and each has a story to tell about YouTube success. Read previous installments of YouTube Millionaires here.

Like many other people we’ve featured in YouTube, Rachel Levin has reached major YouTube milestones by posting beauty, fashion, and style videos. At the same time, Levin, who posts videos on her Rclbeauty101 channel, has also added a number of skits, vlogs, and other assorted offerings for her viewers. In doing so, she has amassed a big audience and soared up the YouTube charts. Here’s her thoughts about her success:

RCLBeauty101: It feels unreal! I want them to know that I love them and appreciate them and I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for them.

TF: What is the biggest difference you’ve seen in your life since starting your videos/channel?

RCL: I’ve definitely gained more confidence since I started, but it also taught me how to stay motivated with everything I do and never give up!

TF: How do you set yourself apart from the other beauty and lifestyle vloggers?

RCL: I think my beauty videos are different in the sense that I don’t sit down and just talk to the camera, I like to do intro skits to differentiate myself and bring my love of editing/filming/acting into my videos.

TF: Many of your most popular videos aren’t related to beauty or makeup, like your “Back to School Expectations Vs. Reality!” Why do you think these do so well?

RCL: I think they do well because they are relatable and I put a lot of work into it and you can really tell how much work is put into it by watching it.

TF: What’s the one video you’d love to make but haven’t done yet?

RCL: I kinda wanna make a singing video, but I don’t know that I ever will.

TF: What’s the kindest thing a fan has done for you or said to you?

RCL: I think its kind whenever a fan comes up to me in person or writes me an email or does anything that says they know who I am and care about me.

TF: How does your family and your boyfriend Isaac support your video-making efforts? Was there ever a time they disagreed with something you made?

RCL: They support them by helping me out whenever I need it, like being in videos when I ask, etc. Isaac helps me with ideas to boost my channels subscriber count. I haven’t had a time where people disagreed with what I made, but they disagreed with some video ideas that I had . But we all have those video ideas that we come up with at 4 AM that are just not good ideas (i.e. how to curl your hair with a tampon. That would not have turned out very well.)

TF: Do you want to continue doing beauty videos in the coming years or would you want to branch into other topics?

RCL: I haven’t decided on the genre I want to stay in but I definitely want to keep making videos. Maybe do more comedic videos, etc.

TF: What’s next for your YouTube channel? Any fun plans?

RCL: I want to continue doing what I’m doing, but maybe I’ll do a few more collabs? I haven’t really made any new YouTube friends that I know well enough to collab with though.

On Deck (channels that will soon reach one million subscribers): Fifth Harmony VEVO, BroScienceLife, Brooklyn and Bailey
